Whites Heated Grips

My last bike had them and having changed over to my current bike last spring, I hadn’t given single digit temps a thought.

After a massive wake up call on an early morning ride recently, I’ve bitten the bullet and gone with Whites Heated Grips from Shark Leathers and Accessories.

As usual, the customer service at Shark was excellent. One of the few shops left where you can rely on staff being attentive and really helpful these days.

The install is an absolute breeze, with an instruction leaflet being well thought out and easy to follow.

I found running the leads to the rear of the bike for a power source really simple. Both left and right have jacks that detach them from the main lead. This helps with running the main lead.

With 5 settings that actually work, unlike some other brands, Blue being the mildest, ranging through to Green, Yellow, Orange and Red, there’s a comfortable setting for a wide range of conditions. I would estimate Red as only being used in sub-zero and the mid-range of Yellow being good down to around 10 degrees with Orange dealing with the single digit temps.

The grips feel no different to my standard Suzuki items and being 120mm I didn’t need to move the switch blocks at all (also available in 130mm).

Get to Shark Online (link below) or go down and see Mitch and the gang at their Gold Coast store and keep your paws warm this winter.
